Iizaka Onsen
It is one of the best onsens in Oushu among Naruko and Akiu, which have one of the longest history in Tohoku area. Around 2nd Century, Yamatotakerunomikoto is said to stop by during his east expedition and in 1689, Matsuo Basho, a famous Haiku poet" is said to stop by on the way to "Okuno Hosomich" (a deep narrow road to the north). It is popular to onsen hop 9 pubic baths including "Sabakoyu", which is the oldest among them. Enjoy a conversation with local people too.

Tsuchiyu Onsen
It is an onsen area surrounded by a rich nature of Azuma mountain range. Since there are many hot spring sources, you can enjoy more than 10 spring qualities. Takayu Onsen
This hot spring area has more than 410 years of history since it was opened. It is known to have one of the highest concentration of sulfur. In 2010, they were the first ones to make "declaration of 100% free flowing hot spring" in Tohoku area. They made a rule of "no loud entertainment in the area" in Takayu Onsen while it is the trend to have lively entertainment to protect the onsen atmosphere and natural environment.

Dake Onsen
It is an onsen town located in the highland with the altitude of 600m in the skirt of Adatara mountain range. It is said to be found by Sakanoue no Tamuramaro during his expedition to the east more than 1200 years ago and Mito Komon is said to praise the effect in Edo period. Nihonmatsu Kikuningyo (chrysanthemum doll)
